Top 10 places for family fishing
Is there a bass out there in a lake somewhere calling your name?
The Sportsman Channel, a cable channel that features nothing but hunting
and fishing programming, has come up with a list of the top 10 places to
go fishing with your family.
# Clear Lake, Calif., which the Sportsman Channel describes as one of the
top five bass fishing destinations in the U.S.
# Sitka, Alaska, known for king and steelhead salmon and halibut fishing
# Ecofina Creek, Fla., located just northeast of Panama City and a good
spot for bass, bream and catfish
# Lake Sinclair, Ga., located just outside of Macon, Ga., known for bass,
crappie, catfish, and crawfish
# Guntersville Lake, Ala., where on a good day with a guide, you can
catch 20 to 40 bass

Dollywood ride
Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park will be adding a new $5 million raft
ride equipped with water guns to soak targets, other riders and
bystanders.
Scheduled to open in 2008, the River Battle sends eight passengers on
rafts down a 500-foot channel lined with more than 100 targets.
The targets include large-scale talking animals such as beavers, skunks,
otters and bears, some of which shoot water back at the riders.
Riders can also aim at other passengers on their raft or park guests
along the edge of the ride.
The Great Smoky Mountains venue in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., will also build a
new connecting walkway between two areas of the park. Dollywood,
Tennessee's top tourist draw with more than 2 million guests annually,
opened a new $17.5 million roller coaster called Mystery Mine in April.
