Henry on trip to Amazon with friends

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - While Democratic Governor Brad Henry is fishing with his
lawyer friends in the Amazon River, he is catching flak from Republican
officials.
State Senator James Williamson of Tulsa says the trip comes just a few months
after Henry vetoed a major bill to reduce civil lawsuits.
Henry was invited on the trip to Brazil by attorney Terry West, a longtime
family friend from Shawnee, the governor's hometown.
Henry spokesman Paul Sund says for the governor says the governor and his
chief of staff paid for their portions of the trip. Sund says the state will
pay the expenses of a state trooper who went along for security.
Sund says Republicans are reading too much into his trip, saying it's just a
fishing trip.
