Bayou Pigeon: Fishing
Trip Turns Deadly

A fishing trip Wednesday turned deadly for 58-year-old Clarence Sterling, of
Maringouin, in Iberville parish.
It happened around noon near Bayou Pigeon.
A witness saw Sterling fall off his fishing boat and go under the water. He
was alone and wasn't wearing a life vest when he fell in.
His body was recovered around two Wednesday afternoon.
The iberville sheriff's department along with the Wildllife and Fisheries
Department are investigating the drowning.
They do not suspect foul play. |
